The Cape Henry Rotary Club hosts the Oyster Crush Charity Fundraiser to raise funds and awareness for local charities and nonprofit organizations. We provide scholarships and support student participation at regional Rotary conferences and also support for international projects.
Our process is simple, the Charity Committee invites local nonprofits to apply for funding and reviews all applications. Once submitted, they are reviewed and then approved by the CHR Foundation Board. This past year's successful Oyster Crush Charity Fundraiser resulted in a record number of grant awards for our community.
On March 16, 2016, The Cape Henry Rotary Foundation was honored to recognize and award a total of $50,500 in grants to thirty one (31) local charities. Our local charities are all commended and recognized for their efforts in making our community a better place for all.
